1,1% fewer passengers over July

Far fewer arrivals and departures have been in July of 2008

For July of this year, 31.359 passengers arrived and departed through Vagar Airport.

This is 1,1% less compared to July of last year, when the corresponding figure stood at 31.720. Passengers on the major routes, which are the routes to Denmark, decreased by 2,5% over July.

To date for 2008, 134.172 passengers have come through the airport. This is 3,5% more, compared to the same period last year.

Over July, 595 aircraft arrived and departed through the airport. This is 33,4% less than July of 2007, when 894 aircraft arrived and departed over the airport. The latter figure includes offshore aviation activity, but also regular scheduled flights have been considerably fewer over July of this year.

To date for 2008, 3.404 aircraft have arrived and departed through the airport. This is 8,6% less compared to the same period last year, when 3.723 aircraft arrived and departed.

To date for 2008, 211 tons of airmail has been transported, which is 11,8% less than the corresponding period last year. Of other airfreight 266 tons have been transported, which is 8,7% less than the corresponding period last year.
