11,9% less passengers over the month of May

Over the first five months, 21,1% fewer passengers have come through the airport

Over May, a total of 16.965 passengers have come through Vagar Airport. This is 11,9% less compared to the corresponding month last year, when 19.246 passengers travelled through the airport.
To date, a total of 70.807 passengers have come through the airport. This is 12,1% less than the corresponding period last year, when the figure was 80.520.

For May, 439 aircraft arrived and departed Vagar Airport. This is 9,9% less than last year, when 487 aircraft arrived and departed through the airport.
Over the first five months, a total of 1.709 aircraft have come through the airport. This is 24,5% less than last year, when 2.263 aircraft came through the airport.

Over May, the total amount of airfreight was 88,7 tons. This is 8,6% % more compared to May in 2008, when the amount of airfreight was 81,7 tons.
For the first five months the total amount of airfreight was 319,9 tons, corresponding to 6,5% less than the same period last year, when the amount of freight airlifted was 341,9 tons.
