18,3% more passengers over May

Passenger figures through Vagar Airport substantially higher to date

A total of 19.975 passengers arrived and departed through the airport in May of 2006. This is an 18,3% increase compared to May of last year, when the corresponding figure was 16.881. This increase is noticeable on all of the scheduled with the exclusion of Great Britain. Actual figures confirm the largest increases were recorded on the routes to Denmark.

To date, e.g. the period from January including May, a total of 67.568 passengers came through the airport. This is 11,6% more compared to the corresponding figure for last year when the figure stood at 60.532.

Over May, 575 aircraft have arrived and departed over the airport. This is 19% more compared to May of last year, when the figure was 483. To date, 2.156 aircraft have arrived and departed through the airport, representing an increase of 6,3%, compared to the corresponding period for 2005.
