Atlantic Airways has won the tender for the sale of tax-free goods at Vagar Airport
The Board of Directors for P/F Vagar Airport has looked at all the tenders for the sale of tax-free goods at Vagar Airport and has decided to accept the tender submitted by P/F Atlantic Airways.
The Board of Directors for P/F Vagar Airport offered the sale of tax-free goods up for public tender on the 10th of September 2008.
When the deadline for submitting tenders expired of the 1st of October 2008, the Board had received six tenders from four applicants; four tenders complying with the tender terms and conditions and two alternative tenders.
The Board of Directors for P/F Vagar Airport has now looked at all the received tenders and has decided to award P/F Atlantic Airways the sole rights to sell tax-free goods at Vagar Airport. The contract has an initial two-year span with the option of a one-year extension.
After the elapse of the above-mentioned period, it is estimated that the allotted premises will have changed substantially in connection with the planned expansion of the airport, whereby the opportunities for the sale of tax-free goods at Vagar Airport will have improved considerably. The Board of Directors for P/F Vagar Airport will by that time have decided how the sale of tax-free items should be structured, including if there should be more tax-free outlets.
